10 Things You Might Not Know About Me
I’m married to a private eye, which comes in pretty handy with my mystery writing.
Getting lost is my superpower. I’m serious. If we’re in a car together and I tell you to turn left, turn right.
I’m an introvert, but I’m also blessed with a lot of friends. I just enjoy socializing with them one at a time.
I love cooking for friends and family.
I have something in common with Abraham Lincoln, and it’s not the fact that we’re both from Illinois. I, like our 16th president, live with an inherited chronic health condition that weakens the connective tissue throughout my body. It’s called Marfan Syndrome, and up until a few years ago, people who had it didn’t live much beyond their 30s or 40s.
I found my birth family a few years ago. Being warmly welcomed and loved by them has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
I was baptized in a small lake somewhere in Southern Illinois when I was a kid. After I was sent back to shore to stand with my dad, the preacher took my mom out a little further and immersed her. When I saw what was happening, I fought like a tiger to get away from my dad because I thought the preacher was drowning Mom, and I intended to go rescue her.
My lifelong dream is to live in a small village in the Scottish highlands.
When I was a kid, I didn’t want to take baths…because I didn’t like the idea of God seeing me naked.
I have never wanted to be anything other than a writer.
Now it's your turn. In the comments, tell me something about you!
